Times of Distress and Sorrows

There have been plenty of times in my life when I find myself in a dark corner. And during those times I don't know what to do or who to turn to. My mind is racing about the event or situation that just happened, and I'm really stressed out or very sorrowful. I wish that I could have found the bible out sooner. And not just sooner, but understanding it sooner. Well, everything is God's timing right? Anyway, I present this letter from God, and honestly, I wish I found this letter sooner. Enjoy my brothers and sisters, and God bless you all.  "The Letter From God" "Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly. For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me. That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity. My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bittern...

"The Hand of God in Ezra: Aligning Your Life with Divine Guidance"

Experiencing “The Hand of God”: Lessons from the Book of Ezra

This week, I dove into the book of Ezra, and one phrase kept standing out: “The Hand of God.” Curious, I did a little research to uncover how many times it appears and its deeper meaning. Turns out, “The Hand of God” is mentioned six times in Ezra, and according to sources like Wikipedia, it signifies God’s divine approval, authority, and blessings.

Just imagine having God’s hand guiding you, blessing your actions, and granting you divine approval. What would that look like in your life?

How Ezra Walked Under “The Hand of God”

So, how did Ezra gain God’s divine approval? To me, the answer lies in his alignment with God’s will. Ezra wasn’t just anyone—he was a ready scribe and had a heart fully committed to seeking and serving the Lord.

In Ezra 7:6 (KJV), it’s written:

“This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the Lord his God upon him.”

Ezra’s devotion is further highlighted in Ezra 7:10 (KJV):

“For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.”

Ezra prepared himself by aligning his heart with God’s plan. His faithfulness and dedication to God’s work made him a vessel for God’s blessings and authority.

Facing Adversity with Courage

Even with God’s hand upon him, Ezra faced challenges. In Ezra 8:31, we read about the adversities Ezra and the Israelites encountered during their journey to Jerusalem. Yet, God’s guidance carried them through safely.

This reminds me that having God’s approval doesn’t mean a life without difficulties. Instead, it assures us that no matter the obstacles, God is with us, guiding us every step of the way.

How Can We Experience “The Hand of God”?

Here’s the good news: You and I can experience God’s hand in our lives too. It’s not reserved for a select few like Ezra. How? By seeking alignment with God’s will through prayer and obedience.

When you pray about your desires and plans, ask yourself: “Does this align with God’s purpose for my life?” If it does, trust that God’s blessings and approval will follow. Like Ezra, there will be moments of adversity, but we don’t need to fear.

Deuteronomy 31:6 reminds us:

“Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

Encouragement for Your Journey

Ezra’s story inspires us to prepare our hearts for God’s work and trust in His plan, even when the road gets tough. Remember, God’s hand is upon those who seek Him.

So, take courage, my friend. Pray, trust, and align your actions with God’s will. The hand of God is ready to guide you, bless you, and lead you through life’s challenges.

Thank you for joining me in this week’s study. I hope it encourages you to seek God’s presence in your life. See you next week!
